TASTING NOTES:
Named for the Lourens River (the shortest in South Africa), which runs through Morgenster, this wine is vibrant and fresh, offering aromas of blackcurrant and cherry with notes of clove, chive and anise. Flavors of vanilla, cacao and caramel emerge on the palate and although approachable now, the velvety, well integrated tannins allow the option of a few years of maturation. The spiciness of the Cabernet Franc balances this plush, crowd pleasing Bordeaux blend.
